Dog Licenses
Licensing Information
Licenses are required for all dogs over the age of three months per Ohio Revised Code (ORC 955.01). Every person who owns, keeps, or harbors a dog must file a registration application within the first 30 days of ownership or between December 1 and January 31 annually.
Your dog's license helps us return them to you if they wander off. If your phone number changes, update it with the Shelter so we can reach you promptly.
Dog licenses are available online, at the Auditor’s office, and at the Miami County Animal Shelter. Dog licenses are also available at selected outposts from December 1 through January 31.
