Public Records Requests

In accordance with ORC§317.32, beginning January 2026 there will be a $2.00 per page charge to receive a copy of your request whether in person, through email or the US Postal Service. For a non-watermarked copy of your document, please email the Recorder's office or call (937) 440-6040.

Prepayment is required and may be completed in person or by calling the Recorder’s Office at (937) 440-6040.

How To Access Our Records – Free Of Charge

If you are looking for a copy of your deed, mortgage or other encumbrances on your property, you may access the 'AVA Search Engine' to search our database free of charge. Click the Basic Records Search button below to begin your search.

Basic Records Search

1. Enter the Last Name (or Business Name) and First Name
2. Click the Search button at the bottom
3. Click the NAME of the document under the Document No. title
4. Click the page icon to view and print your document.

NOTE: These documents do contain a watermark.  If you need a non-watermarked copy of your document, please email or call the Recorder's Office to submit a Public Records Request.

Our deeds are on record back to 1807. If you are looking for a deed prior to 1980, please contact the Recorder’s office for assistance.

For documents dated 1980 through 1999, you will need to verify the accuracy of indexed data contained in Laredo against the Geographical Indexes.

All index books have been digitized and images are available online. The following indexes can be found by entering the name of the Index in ‘Search Group’ (in Laredo Connect) or ‘Document Type’ (in Laredo Anywhere).
